CITIZEN OF THE COLORADO

We all live downstream of history and upstream of the future. How do we come together as citizens of the Colorado to address these issues?

The role of citizens in a modern democracy is to make informed decisions about the future. Rather than just asking what is the "right" thing to do, we need to ask how best to work together to seek appropriate solutions.

In many ways, our relationships to the Colorado River embody much that is distinctive about western history. Perhaps our connections to and reliance on the river will also bring citizens of the watershed together - to help shape the future of the West.
