Museum of Northern Arizona, FLAGSTAFF.
Heritage Insights Programming at the 2010 Zuni Festival of Arts and Culture, $1,000. AHC funds will support humanities-based programming at the 20th Annual Zuni Festival of Arts and Culture, at the Museum of Northern Arizona in May 2010. Project Director: Anne Doyle, 928/774-5213.

Tucson Chinese Association, TUCSON.
First Annual Chinese American Symposium, $1,000. AHC funds will support a one-day symposium titled, "Watching the Same Moon," at the Tucson Chinese Cultural Center in September, 2010. In a panel discussion open to the general public, humanities scholars will explore the migration of Chinese immigrants to southern Arizona from northern California beginning in the 19th century. The symposium will also highlight the opening of a public exhibit of historic photos and archives from the Arizona Historical Society currently on display at the Cultural Center. Mesa Association of Hispanic Citizens, MESA.
2010 Mesa Latino Town Hall, $1,000. AHC funds will support the costs of a keynote presentation poet and scholar Luivette Resto at the Mesa Latino Town Hall in October 2010. Town Hall opening sessions and workshops will be available free of charge to the public. Project Director: Deanna Villanueva-Saucedo, 480/433-2473.

West Valley Arts Council, SURPRISE.
The Big Read 2010, $1,000. AHC funds will support the participation of humanities scholars in statewide book discussion programs using The Big Read's 2010 title, "The Call of the Wild." ASU, School of Letters and Sciences, PHOENIX.
Humanities Lecture Series, $822. AHC funds will support a public humanities lecture series organized by ASU's School of Letters and Sciences, with monthly lectures beginning in February 2010 through May 2010. Project Director: Mirna Lattouf, Ph.D., 602/496-0638.

Litchfield Park Historical Society, LITCHFIELD PARK.
Embracing Oral History: Students Make Meaning of Community History, $1,000. AHC funds will support an oral history project presented in conjunction with the historical society's "Celebrating 100 Years of History" exhibit. The project will document and preserve local students' engagement with oral history, and result in a short documentary film to be presented at the public opening. Yuma County Library District, YUMA.
Victor Villasenor Lecture, $1,000. AHC funds will support a public presentation by author Victor Villasenor, followed by a discussion, at the Yuma County Library's Main Branch. Project Director, Cecilia Young, 928/373-6465.

ASU Museum of Anthropology, TEMPE.
The Return of the Corn Mothers. AHC funds will support facilitator-led discussions and humanities-based storytelling workshops around "Return of the Corn Mothers," a traveling photo journal exhibition of southwestern women, hosted by ASU's Museum of Anthropology beginning in October 2010 and running through January 2011.
